Dr. Philip O'Reilly
Philip has been a leading member of research teams which have been successful in securing in excess of €1m in research funding in recent years. His research interests are in the area of Information Systems Performance, specifically focusing on Electronic Marketplaces, Smart Mobile Media Services, M-payments, Social Media, Green IT and Business Models.
Philip is the Principal Investigator for the B-MIDEA project. B-MIDEA’s goal is to create a Decision Support Application which incorporates prediction and simulation capabilities enabling organisations to analyse product innovations and predict the optimal route to market for same.
Philip recently received the Stafford Beer Medal in recognition of the most outstanding contribution to the philosophy, theory and practice of Information Systems (IS) from the Operational Research (OR) Society at an Awards Ceremony which took place at the Royal Society, Carlton House Terrace, London. Founded over 50 years ago, the OR Society is the world's oldest established learned society catering to the Operational Research profession and one of the largest in the world, with 3,000 members in 53 countries.

Dr. Lawrence Dooley
My research lies within the stream of Innovation, Enterprise and Family Business and is focused on three interrelated areas.
Management of organisational innovation
The focus of this research is on the processes, structures and business models that organisations utilise to achieve innovations and question how effective management can enhance their ability to innovate successfully.
The focus of this research centres on interaction between university and industrial entities as part of the Entrepreneurial University paradigm. Research strives to identifying exemplars of university-industry collaboration at the discovery science stage of the innovation process and examining why and how the stakeholders achieve co-operation and mutual benefit.
Knowledge exchange network
The focus of this research examines the evolution of knowledge networks within regions, the enablers and barriers that impact their development and the degree of interaction and knowledge exchange that occurs between the independent entities. A key aspect of this research questions why specific networks develop and how they can best be sustained.
One book, over twenty peer reviewed journal articles, forty International Conference papers and a number of edited chapters and invited articles.
