Two of our staff receive UCC Staff Recognition Awards, 2011.

It is with great pleasure that the School of Applied Social Studies acknowledges the achievement of its staff members Lydia Sapouna and Caitriona Ni Laoire on being awarded the University's Staff Recognition Awards in 2011. Each year an award in six different categories is given to outstanding UCC staff members. The nominations each year give an indication of the exceptionally high calibre of staff across the university. Dr. Caitriona Ni Laoire won the Leadership award and Ms. Lydia Sapouna won the Exceptional Citizen award (jointly with Dr. Harry Gijbels from the School of Nursing & Midwifery).
Well done Lydia and Caitriona and congratulations from all your colleagues in Applied Social Studies.
