Students entering Adult Continuing Education Programmes are required to pay tuition fees in two instalments. The first instalment must be paid prior to the commencement of the programme, the second instalment is payable in January, 2011.  Students who fail to have full fees paid by January 31st 2011 will not be recognised for Examination/Assessment purposes.  A student cannot be registered, receive an ID card or attend any course until he/she has paid the prescribed fee and/or instalment of fee. Students registering for part of a programme due to exemptions are liable for full fees. Programme fees must be paid using the Bank Giro System. Payment can be made at any Bank. Accurate recording of fee payments cannot be guaranteed if the Giro is not used. Bank Giros are issued directly to those students accepted on programmes prior to commencement of that programme.

Students in receipt of Grants/Awards/Scholarship of Funding should note that in their case full fees are payable at the commencement of the programme. Students should also note that in cases where the scholarship or funding is insufficient to cover the full fee the balance should be paid by the student through a bank. Students will be forwarded a Sponsorship Form from Adult Continuing Education with the initial request for payment. Sponsoring bodies are required to return the completed form to Adult Continuing Education confirming sponsorship details. Responsibility for the prompt payment of fees lies with the student.

Applications for Refund of Programme Fees will not be considered after –
(a) October 31st 2010 where a student discontinues his/her studies and where the first instalment of fees has been paid
OR
(b) January 31st 2011 where a student discontinues his/her studies and where the second instalment of fees has been paid.

Students wishing to cancel their chosen programme must notify Adult Continuing Education in writing returning their student card.
