Windows 7 Phase 2 support begins in March

Phase two of our support for Windows 7 will be introduced next month.
New computer purchases that are delivered with Windows 7 pre installed can join the UCC cabled network from March 2010 onwards.
Please note the following:
- The Computer Centre has created a customised installation of Windows 7, with supported applications such as Microsoft Office, F-Secure Anti-Virus and support for our network already configured. We recommend that new computers are purchased and preloaded with this customised installation..
- Only specific versions of Windows 7 are supported.
- Upgrading from Windows XP will be supported in the next phase, date to be confirmed in the latter half of this year.
- The following services are not yet compatible with Windows 7; HRIS, Payroll, Access Control. If you use these service you should delay replacing our computer.
