International Conference: W.G. Sebald's Use of Visual Images (1-3 July 2005)
UCC's History of Art hosted the first international conference on W.G. Sebald's use of images on 1-3 July 2005. The participants examined issues of fiction, testament, geography, materiality, and memory; and with a focus on the meanings of continuous narratives with uncaptioned images both in general and as they apply to Sebald's work.
The conference will be published as Images Lost in a Sea of Words.
