10-Week Evening Course (20 hours) in Chinese Language (Mandarin)

The Irish Institute of Chinese Studies and Confucius Institute is offering a 10-week evening course (20 hours) in Chinese language (Mandarin) at level 1 & 2 commencing in October, 2009.

Level 1: Monday 7-9pm, 7th Oct-10th Dec 2009  (venue to be decided)

Level 1 Course provides students with basic skills in Chinese language including spoken, listening, reading and writing. By the end of the course, students will have acquired a vocabulary of around 100 Chinese characters which will enable them to read and write and have simple conversations in Mandarin.

Level 2: Wednesdays 7-9pm, 7th Oct-10th Dec 2009 (venue to be decided)

Level 2 Course continues to focus on developing listening, spoken and writing skills.  Students will be introduced to a further 100 Chinese characters.  It aims to enable students to communicate freely in daily life.
