GEOGIS GIS and Archaeological Remote Sensing Unit
Manager: Mr Nick Hogan MA
The Department of Archaeology has a strong tradition of field survey and excavation spanning the past century. The recent establishment of an archaeological geophysics and geographical information systems unit in the Department provides an important technical and I.T. support for a range of research projects undertaken by academic staff and research students. The unit also supports teaching at undergraduate and taught masters level, and has a close collaboration with the larger GIS unit in the Department of Geography, UCC.
