Publications
The Department of Archaeology in UCC is a leading research centre, with a strong record of academic publication. The academic staff published some thirty books and 260 research papers between 1990 and 2006. This research engages with many facets of archaeology both in Ireland and other regions of Europe. The research results are published not only in the regional and national journals, but also in book and monograph formats and in various international journals.
The Department has hosted a number of important conferences in recent years, many of which have been published. These include the annual conference of the European Association of Archaeologists, held in UCC in 2004, at which some 600 archaeologists from across Europe attended.
