DEPARTMENT OF ARCHAEOLOGY MASTERS STUDENT WINS INTERNATIONAL AWARD
Eiden Hennessy has become the first Irish student to win the prestigious Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology annual award for the best masters dissertation. His thesis, entitled Including the excluded past: the rural poor in Ireland, 1750-1860 (2007), is a ground-breaking study of the archaeology of inequality in rural Ireland.
