The Department wishes to congratulate Drs Kerri Cleary, Maurice Hurley and Griffin Murray on the award of doctoral degrees in archaeology, at the conferring ceremonies held on 14th December in University College Cork. Dr Cleary was conferred for her research on Bronze Age settlements; Dr Murray for his work on the Cross of Cong and other high medieval ecclesiastical metalwork, while Dr Hurley was conferred with a D.Litt. for his research over three decades on Viking and early medieval urban archaeology in Munster.
