Advisory Board for new Masters Degree in Diplomacy and International Public Policy meets at UCC
UCC today hosts the first meeting of a high-level Advisory Board established to support its new MBS International Public Policy and Diplomacy. The Advisory Board is chaired by Pat Cox, former Chair of the European Parliament. The other members of the Board are: Professor Helen Wallace, FBA, Centennial Professor, London School of Economics and Political Science; Ambassador Daniel Mulhall, Irish Ambassador to Germany; Lieutenant General Pat Nash, recently retired from the Irish Defence Forces and former commander of the EU peacekeeping operation in Chad/Central African Republic; and Clifford Coonan, China correspondent of The Irish Times. The MBS International Public Policy and Diplomacy is a taught masters programme targeted at those wishing to work in international affairs. The Advisory Board will support UCC staff in developing and promoting the programme. Dr. Andrew Cottey, Department of Government, UCC and Director of the MBS International Public Policy and Diplomacy, says: ‘UCC is very pleased to have the support of an Advisory Board whose members who have so much experience and knowledge of international affairs.
