European Symposium 2009

The Alliance Française de Cork and University College Cork ( College of Business and Law) are proud to present their European Symposium 2009 on European Citizenship. This event will take place in Devere Hall, University College Cork (UCC), on Tuesday 1^st September, 2009 from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.

Many prominent European figures, such as Micheál MARTIN, Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Nicole FONTAINE, Former President of the European Parliament, will speak at this significant event in Cork .

The European Symposium will include panels on Women and Europe, National Identity within European Culture and Identity, Justice and Citizenship and Green Citizenship. The panels will be followed by the screening of the film Home by Yann ARTHUS-BERTRAND. An exhibition of posters related to this film will be on display throughout the day.
