<p>Mein Wunsch,<note n="1" type="auth">Zu ir. Handschriften, S. 58.</note> da&szlig; dieser alte Text, den nur das <frn lang="ga">C&iacute;n Dromma Snechta</frn> in urspr&uuml;nglicher Form &uuml;berlieferte, gedruckt werden m&ouml;chte, ist schneller in Erf&uuml;llung gegangen, als ich hoffen durfte.  Kuno Meyer hat ihn in <title type="book series">Anecdota from Ir. MSS.</title> 5 28 ff. nach drei der vier in Betracht kommenden Handschriften ver&ouml;ffentlicht.  Da ich im Besitz einer Kopie der vierten (R.I.A., 23.N.10, S. 68) bin, gebe ich hier ihre Lesarten, obschon sie nicht weit von den anderen abweicht.  Ist es doch der &auml;lteste Bericht &uuml;ber die <name type="Old Irish epic">T&aacute;in B&oacute; C&uacute;ailnge</name>, den wir besitzen; dieser Kriegszug scheint damals nur 14 Tage gedauert zu haben (V. 12), vgl. <title type="journal">Rev. Celt.</title> 15, 465.</p>
