(Recruitment agencies should contact the Careers Service (link to F.murray@ucc.ie) first as we require the client name before advertising).

AUTUMN RECRUITMENT FAIR 2011
Wednesday 19th October and Thursday 20th October 2011
Multifunctional Hall, Student Centre, UCC
11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.
This Fair is designed to help exhibiting organisations explain their opportunities to, and raise their profile with final and penultimate year students.
Last years Fair was an outstanding success with a wide range of companies attending. Over 2000 students visited the Fair each day. Employers were very impressed with the calibre of students they met, while students welcomed the opportunity to discuss future career prospects in an informal and relaxed environment.

Milkround
The Milkround is the term used when employers visit campus in the first stage of their annual recruitment campaign. The visit normally takes the form of a company presentation lasting from 20 minutes to one hour followed in many cases by an informal reception. Company presentations usually take place in the first and second term of each academic year.
The Careers Service will:
- Provide suitable venues for your presentation and/or reception within the limitations imposed by the university
- Provide audio-visual equipment as requested within the limitations imposed by the university
- Publicise your presentation broadly on campus

Benefits to the Employer:
Many companies take on new graduates every year and these companies find the milkround a vital step in their recruitment campaign. The main benefits to the company are:
- The heightening of company profile and reputation among the student population thereby attracting a good number of graduate applications.
- Employers of graduates are competing with each other for the same prospective graduates each year. It is necessary to compete with rival companies for good recruits and thus gain a competitive advantage.

Information Stand
Employers have the opportunity to come on campus and put up their stand in a prominent location on campus eg. Boole Basement, Elec Eng Building, Student Centre etc. This is a free service to employers and it has received very positive feedback from employers in teh past as it is a great opportunity to meet with UCC students from all degree disciplines in an informal way.

Student Mailshots
Employers can target specific classes in a mailshot that is organised by the Careers Service. There is a charge of 150euros per class for this service but if you wish to target a number of classes we will reduce the cost for you.
Employers have found this service to be very beneficial as they are directly targeting the students they wish to attract.

- Employer brochures and applications forms are available to students and graduates in our Information Room
- Employer videos and DVDs are made available to students from the Careers Library
