The Higher Diploma in Learning, Development and Work-based Training is a part-time programme running for 18 months over two academic years from the date of first registration for the programme.
Programme Aims and Objectives
The Higher Diploma in Learning,
Development and Work-Based Training is offered by the Centre for Adult
Continuing Education in association with the Departments of Accounting, Finance
and Information Systems; Applied Psychology; Education; Management and
Marketing, and the Industrial Liaison Unit. It is intended to provide
professional training for persons who have management/supervisory
responsibility for training and development in Production, Engineering,
Marketing and other related disciplines. The programme is designed on a module
basis to meet the needs of working professionals, and has been approved by the
Irish Institute of Training and Development to allow holders of the Higher
Diploma gain graduate membership of the Institute.
Entry Requirements
Normally, applicants for entry to the
Higher Diploma in Learning, Development and Work-based Training will be at
least 23 years of age by 1 January of the year of application with a minimum of
two years' health, engineering, personnel, managerial, training or comparable
experience.
English Language Requirement
All applicants whose first
language is not English must have attained IELTS Level 6.5 or the equivalent
TOEFL score.
