The progamme includes seminars from high profile guest speakers followed up by two days of showcases. The judges will be Bobby Kerr (RTE’s Dragons Den and CEO of Insomnia Coffee) and Kate Hyde (a recent graduate of UCC) who received investment for her company following her appearance on RTE’s Dragons Den. The third and final judge on the panel will be Pat Lynch (director of Compliance & Risk) who is an active investor and business angel in the Cork area.

Thursday, March 11th will see the unveiling of the winner of the UCC Staff Good Business Idea, a competition open to all UCC staff.

The Innov8@UCC week coincides with a diverse range of Innovative showcases organised by the Electrical Engineering, Business Information Systems, Food Business and Development & Food Science and Technology departments respectively.  On Thursday and Friday, 230 final year students will showcase their New Product or Service ideas in a diverse range of technologies.
